Energiefonds Overijssel is the first and largest regional energy fund in the Netherlands, founded in 2012 by the province of Overijssel. The Fund contributes to accelerating the energy transition by financing sustainable and renewable energy projects in the province.
Energiefonds Overijssel provides risk capital to companies in the form of share capital or a convertible loan. When the fund provides a convertible loan, the aim is to eventually convert and thus acquire an equity interest in the company. The fund also offers knowledge, advice and network.
