HR-tech company TrueTribe acquires employee wellbeing platform Quan, first announced exit for GEC Capital
With the acquisition, the Dutch HR-tech company TrueTribe strengthens its data-driven approach that enables employers to gain in-depth insights and employees to quickly receive the right help for vitality, health and development issues. TrueTribe was founded as a corporate venture from Zorg van de Zaak.
The founders of Quan, powerhouses Arosha Brouwer and Lucy Howie, continue their mission within TrueTribe to make wellbeing a strategic priority of organisations with a measurable, science-based methodology.
“From day one, Quan has been about making wellbeing and performance human and science-based,” says Arosha Brouwer, co-founder and CEO of Quan. “In TrueTribe, we’ve found a partner with both the ambition and integrity to scale that mission responsibly.”
Golden Egg Check Capital invested in Quan in 2022. “The drive of Arosha and Lucy has been phenomenal all along our journey,” says Thomas Mensink. “I’m really proud of the Quan team and hope they can make a big impact as part of TrueTribe!”
> Quan was founded in 2020 and has since raised 3 million euro in funding through investors such as Y Combinator, 4impact, HearstLab, Masawa, Joanna Invests and Golden Egg Check.
> It helps organisations like Bynder, ASML Informa and the Fitch Group, continuously measure and manage wellbeing.
> With the insights companies gain, they can immediately address and improve (dormant) issues and causes so that, among other things, stress and burn-out-related complaints, and resulting absenteeism, can be reduced.
