Afgelopen weekend verscheen een artikel van Parool over de techwereld in Amsterdam. Journalist Herman Stil heeft dit artikel geschreven met behulp van data uit ons Dutch Venture Capital Report 2020 (hier<\/a>\u00a0te bestellen). Hieronder staat een kort fragment.<\/p>\n

In de coronamalaise, waardoor hele branches in crisisstand belandden, bloeit de techwereld als nooit tevoren. \u201cHet is een perfecte storm,\u201d zegt Thomas Mensink van techanalist Golden Egg Check (GEC). \u201cHet talent is er, de kennis is er en nu ook het geld. Door de ultralage, soms negatieve rente is enorm veel kapitaal beschikbaar. Investeren in traditionele bedrijven en multi\u00adnationals die het nu vanwege corona moeilijk hebben, is minder attractief. En de beurs en het vastgoed zijn te onzeker.\u201d<\/p>\n

Golden Egg Check voorspelt dit jaar een nieuw investeringsrecord: 2 miljard euro. \u201cDit is geen hype, dit is een blijvend effect,\u201d zegt Mensink. \u201cIn de vorige crisis ontstond een enorme golf aan start-ups, dat verwacht ik nu ook weer. De tekenen zijn goed. De techwereld is een groeimotor geworden: uit de huidige successen ontstaan ook nieuwe. Ondernemers die hun \u00adbedrijf hebben verkocht, steken hun kennis en netwerk in nieuwe avonturen en weten goed hoe ze daarvoor geld moeten ophalen.\u201d<\/p>\n
